In primary grade levels, we put a great emphasis on enhancing students’ English reading skills.One method through which we encourage students to improve their reading abilities is with small group reading.
Grade 3/1 is comprised of 32 students – 14 boys and 18 girls. A class of this size and age can often be difficult to control without an effective classroom management strategy.
The students in Grade 3/2 had a unique learning experience when Teacher Glen brought some tadpoles into the class. The students were studying about life cycles in science class, so this was a great opportunity for them to observe nature in action.
Students, especially young students, have A LOT of energy. As teachers we can use their energy and enthusiasm to help them learn rather than just keep it bottled up. In my class I try to let my students have time everyday get up move around and be active.
